What is the Social Responsibility Forum? PDF Print E-mail

Churches Together in Cumbria set up the Social Responsibility Forum in 1995 to bring together representatives of denominations and of existing ecumenical groups working in the field of social responsibility.

The Social Responsibility Forum aims to:

  • Increase the profile of social responsibility in the churches and promote ecumenical action on social issues.
  • Provide an opportunity for exploration of and discussion about social issues, leading to appropriate responses and actions.
  • Increase the engagement of the Church in public and political life.
  • Enter into partnership projects as appropriate.

The Social Responsibility Forum meets 4 times a year: 3 business meetings and a discussion morning.

The Social Responsibility Forum's officer is Helen Boothroyd, Social Responsibility Development Officer.
