The SRF considered the consultation document Geological Disposal of Radioactive Waste in West Cumbria? Guests from the Environment Group, Quakers and Lancaster Diocese Faith and Justice Commission joined us for these deliberations.Our main concern was that the volunteerism principle being applied nationally means no other alternative sites are being examined.
Consequently a letter was sent to the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change.
