STOP PRESS
This is the last edition of the Clarion
Unless
there is an outcry over its demise.
The Clarion
was discussed at the AGM of Churches Together because we needed someone
else to edit the newssheet. The current editor reported that, while a
number of people received the Clarion
and used it in their churches there was only one church which regularly
contributed. The rest of the items are from what the editor collected
elsewhere. As the aim of the Clarion
was to share good news stories, information and adverts from the churches
of Carlisle the committee felt the aim was not being achieved. In the light
of this the decision to cease publication was taken.
If you feel that the Clarion is still a useful tool then please inform us and tell
us which church you represent. Please email us at the above email address.
If you do this it also needs a commitment from your church to send
information in which it wants publicised through the Clarion. This would
need to be a regular commitment.
The editor is going on Sabbatical for May to
beginning of August so if there is a demand the next edition will be
published in August to cover September. Closing date for items will be 10
August.
